Who we are

DodoDev is a custom software and AI studio based in Windsor, Ontario. We can be reached at [email protected]. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit dododev.io or get in touch with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, and applicable Ontario legislation.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run this site and respond to you:

• Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional company name, project details (project type, budget, timeline, and your brief), and the hidden anti-spam "honeypot" field used to filter out bots.
• Analytics. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics, it will be cookieless and privacy-friendly (aggregate page-view counts only, no personal identifiers).
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, as part of normal website operations.

How we use your information

We use the information you share with us to:

• Respond to your inquiries and prepare project proposals.
• Deliver the services you engage us for.
• Operate, maintain, and improve this website.

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing you haven't asked for.

Data storage & retention

Contact form submissions are sent to us by email through Resend, a US-based email provider. Emails are retained for as long as needed for legitimate business purposes, such as answering questions or delivering a project. If you'd like your details removed from our records, just ask.

Analytics, when added, will be cookieless — meaning no cookies, no personal data, and nothing that can identify you as an individual. Server logs are retained by Vercel in line with their standard practices.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site:

• Resend — delivers contact form emails (including your submission and our replies). US-based.
• Vercel — hosts this website and its server logs. US-based.
• Upstash — optional rate limiting on the contact form to block spam and abuse. US-based.

Some of these providers are located in the United States, so your personal information may be transferred outside Canada. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer and disclose to you here, in line with PIPEDA's cross-border transfer requirements.

Your rights under PIPEDA

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request corrections if any of it is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies & tracking

We do not set advertising cookies or participate in cross-site ad tracking. This site may use cookieless analytics (for example Plausible, Fathom, or Vercel Web Analytics) in the future; those tools do not store cookies and do not collect personal information.
